The first Western China green technology and new energy show in 2024
The exhibition occupied 16,500 gross square meters, hosting 292 exhibitors from 8 countries including China, Italy, Germany, Denmark, the United States, Canada, Japan and Hong Kong.
This year for the first time a new energy sector was developed, comprising energy storage, electric mobility and low-carbon technology, which integrated the already well-established exhibiting sectors involving water treatment and water pollution control, air pollution prevention, environmental monitoring, bioenergy, waste management and valorization of waste.
The 3-days exhibition and conference featured 11 conferences and attracted a total of 8,000 visitors. The mission of ECOMONDO CHINA-CDEPE is to establish as the main international B2B2G platform for green technology in Western China: an industrial hub where national and international green technology communities can meet and share knowledge in order to tackle the challenges brought by climate change, towards green and energy transition.
Government,industry,universities and research institutes gathered to discuss future challenges
During ECOMONDO CHINA- CDEPE 2024, 11 conferences were held in collaboration with industry organizations and featured the participation of more than 60 industry experts and enterprises.
An opening international conference to explore strategies adopted by Europe and China to address climate change and environmental risks, innovations and case histories, and technologies to mitigate climate change and address environmental risks.
Consul General Fabio Schina will make a welcome speech during the opening ceremony of the event and participate in the ribbon cutting of the ICE Collective.
On May 16, in the afternoon, the event "Italy at Ecomondo China-CDEPE: 8th Festival of Sustainable Development-Chengdu-Europe Industry Dialogue" will be held, co-organized by IEG, the Consulate of Chongqing, and the Chengdu City Foreign Affairs Office under the umbrella of the "Festival of Sustainability in the World" initiative, promoted by ASviS and MAECI.
This conference will include the participation of several local institutional representatives and 9 companies from the ICE Collective: an excellent opportunity for visibility and networking for Italian companies.
International exchange towards win-win cooperation
The exhibition and conference attracted 21 international companies and brands from Italy, Germany, Denmark, the United States, Canada, Japan and Hong Kong.
The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) hosted 11 Italian companies operating in environmental protection in the Italian National Pavilion of the expo. These companies share their expertise in the fields of wastewater treatment, monitoring of water, air and soil, waste management, recycling, valorization of waste and circular economy.
In order to strengthen the link between Italy and Western China on environmental protection industry, encouraging the sharing of know-how and fostering future business exchange, the Italian companies exhibiting in the Italian Pavilion participated in a Roadshow, presenting their latest technology, equipment and case studies. Attendees from 16 Chinese environmental protection companies from Sichuan, Chongqing, Jiangsu and Beijing attended the Roadshow. Moreover, the above-mentioned Italian companies took part in the "China-Italy Environmental Protection Technology B2B Matchmaking Meetings" initiative, where 47 Chinese enterprises and 11 Italian enterprises held 61 one-on-one matchmaking meetings to further carry out in-depth exchanges on business, technology and market cooperation and seek win-win development.
Improved quality of buyers and visitors in accordance with market demand
The 3-day exhibition welcomed over 10 visitors’ delegations and buyer groups from 4 provinces and cities. In order to provide practical service to the market and link supply and demand, 76 hosted buyers attended more than 60 one-on-one matchmaking B2B meetings during the expo.

Nearly 30 media from China Environment News, China Daily, China Economic Times, China Economic News Network, Sichuan Workers Daily, Chengdu Daily, Hong Kong Business Daily, Sichuan Press, Sichuan News Network, Sichuan TV, Chengdu Business Daily and other media covered the expo in an all-round way.
